Canoe trips are at your own risk!

This canoe tour is also suitable for families and beginners. We are happy to assist you along these stretches, but you won't encounter any difficult obstacles. Instead, you'll enjoy scenic, restored sections of the river. With luck, you might even spot the wild horses. The entire route takes place within a nature reserve, so access to the riverbanks is prohibited. Please follow the instructions; we will inform you of rest stops. Overnight camping at Gasthof Lange in Benninghausen is recommended on this tour. Please register for camping in advance. The tour includes canoe instruction, boat equipment with paddles, life jackets, and dry bags. You will need to bring your own tent and sleeping bags. We recommend leaving your equipment in Benninghausen before the canoe tour. This way, you don't have to carry everything in the boats, and your belongings won't get wet in case of capsizing.

The tour booked with us becomes binding for both parties upon receipt of the order confirmation. For all tours scheduled more than one week in the future, we kindly request that the invoice amount be transferred to our account (see order confirmation/invoice).
For short-notice bookings (less than one week), the amount can also be paid in cash directly at the starting point before the tour begins.
We recommend bus transfers for groups of 15 or more on this route; the cost is approximately €100 per bus. For smaller groups, we recommend "Taxi Walter" (05250 7830). Prices for a shared taxi for up to 7 people are around €40. We are happy to assist with planning!
Of course, you are welcome to bring your dog on one of our tours. For logistical reasons, we kindly ask that you inform us of this when booking. However, we would also like to expressly point out that we accept no liability whatsoever for your animal. Furthermore, your dog must remain on the boat at all times.
There is currently no legally binding law mandating the use of life jackets on German rivers. However, since the safety and security of our guests is of utmost importance to us, wearing a life jacket is a basic requirement for participation in any of our tours. Children under 18 must wear the life jacket for the entire duration of the tour. Should you remove your life jacket during the tour, you do so entirely at your own risk. We disclaim all liability from that point onward. Furthermore, participation in the entire event is at your own risk.
No! We do not tolerate the consumption of alcoholic beverages on our tours under any circumstances. Since the risk of accidents increases disproportionately with alcohol consumption, it is strictly prohibited in any form and on all our routes for the protection of all tour participants.

Bad weather There is no such thing as bad clothing. 🙂

We outdoor activity providers are often asked, "...and what if it rains?" The answer is quite simple: We paddle, of course, because rain is a part of nature and perfectly acceptable in summer. Even thunderstorms don't necessarily mean we have to cancel the tour, as experience shows that thunderstorms usually develop in the late afternoon, when our tours are typically over. Lightning and thunder also pass quickly, and often it's enough to simply wait half an hour. Of course, there are times when a tour can't take place, but we don't cancel it three days in advance. Instead, we make the decision on-site, once the weather forecast is reasonably clear.

Outdoor events mean that you have to be prepared for all kinds of weather. And so on. important such as appropriate clothing, is sunscreen. This is often forgotten, yet it is needed much more often than a rain jacket.
