This canoe tour is for experienced paddlers who want to complete their tour independently.
\nDepending on the water level, challenging conditions should be expected. Overnight stays at the canoe club's campsite in Mantinghausen and at the Gasthof Lange inn in Benninghausen are recommended for this tour. Please register for camping in advance.
\nIncluded in the package are canoe instruction, boat equipment with paddles, life jackets, and dry bags. You will need to bring your own tent and sleeping bags. We recommend storing your gear in Mantinghausen before your canoe trip. This way, you don't have to carry everything in the boats, and your belongings won't get wet in case of capsizing. From Lippstadt onwards, the route is suitable for families and beginners. Here you'll be paddling on our designated routes, where we can offer assistance, but you won't encounter any difficult obstacles. Instead, you'll enjoy scenic, restored stretches of river. With luck, you might even spot the wild horses. All sections of the route are within a nature reserve, so access to the riverbanks is prohibited.
